Looters Now Hide Nigeria’s Money in Burial Grounds – Umahi

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi on Monday uncovered that many plundered finances in Nigeria were loaded in remote banks, burial grounds and cemeteries.

He made this known while pronouncing open enemy of defilement, morals and honesty preparing for Ebonyi State nearby government authorities, held in Abakaliki on Monday.

The Governor upheld acquittal for raiders, saying such approach would help in capturing debasement and submit guilty parties in surrendering more than 70 percent of plundered open assets.

He guaranteed that over the span of battling debasement, Ebonyi State government would build up ICPC office in the state.

"We have such a large amount of the plundered assets caught in remote banks, some covered at the graveyard while many were covered underground where they were devastated by termites.

"In any case, if there is an arrangement like submitting the bandits into unpretentiously surrendering no less than 70 percent of the plundered finances and keeping the rest or putting every one of the assets in the nation; by so doing, we would have recouped the cash and made utilization of it", he said.
