Gunmen Kidnap Edo LG Boss, Demand N200m For His Release

The kidnappers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chairman for the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, Mr. Henry Ashofor have supposedly requested a payoff of N20 million for his release.

Ashofor and two others were said to have been whisked away by Unknown shooters close Aiyetoro, along the Igarra-Ibilo street, last Saturday.

Be that as it may, it was learnt that the ruffians reached Ashofor's relatives on Sunday and made their request.
It was likewise learnt that supplications by his family to the abductors to lessen the payment to N600,000 were repelled as they (abductors) supposedly demanded that he would not recover his opportunity until the point that the asked for sum was paid.
