Father in Jail for Sexually Assaulting His Twin Sons

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court on Monday mandated the remand of one Jephath Ighodaro who supposedly sexually assaulted his twin under-matured children, in Kirikiri penitentiaries.

Chief Magistrate P. E Nwaka, who declined to take the supplication of the blamed, requested the prosecutor to send a duplicate of the case record to the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, for exhortation.

Ighodaro, who dwells at No.1, St. Augustine St, Surulere, Lagos, is standing preliminary on one-check charge of rape.

Insp. Christopher John, the Prosecutor, told the court that the offense was submitted amongst January and July 2018 at the blamed home.

The assessor said that the blamed and his ex, the mother of the twins, went separate ways three years back.

"The young men were detracted from their mom by the blamed in January and they have been living with him from that point forward.

"It was amid the occasion that the young men were permitted to visit their mom and she presumed something was going on," he said.

Talking further, he said the kids told their mom how their dad sexually attacked them.

The prosecutor said the offense repudiated Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Nwaka deferred the case until Sept. 3 for say.
