Drunk Driver Kills Two Policemen in Ibadan

A suspected drunk driver on Friday killed two policemen connected to the Oyo State Police force in Ibadan, the state capital.

The occurrence happened at Orita Challenge territory of the city.

The two officers connected to the Special Rapid Squad (SRS), it was assembled, were hit by the alcoholic driver and apparently died because of the mishap.

An observer said the policemen who had recently wrapped up their operational vehicle at an auto wash in the region, were tied in with entering the vehicle when they were hit by the driver.

Another onlooker said the driver was found to have been drunk.

It was likewise assembled that the driver has been captured by men of the state police order.

Advertising Officer (PRO) of the state police summon, Mr. Adekunle Ajisebutu, while affirming the occurrence to DAILY POST Saturday evening, included that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Odude has requested intensive examination concerning the mishap.

Ajisebutu stated, "The CP, Abiodun Odude, has requested a through examination concerning the mishap.

"The blundering driver is in our guardianship."

Ajisebutu included that the driver would be charged to court after finishing of their investigation.

"He will be charged to court after finishing of investigation," he said.
