Boko Haram Kill Scores, Burns 40 Houses in Borno State

The Borno State Police Command yesterday said that a few losses were recorded when suspected  Boko Haram terrorists assaulted Malari, Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State.

The State Commissioner for Police, Mr. Damien Chukwu uncovered this while tending to newsmen in Maiduguri.
Chukwu, who said the police engaged with the trespassers, revealed that around 40 houses were burned to the ground.

He said an individual from the group was captured at Bakkassi Internally Displaced Camp in Maiduguri.
He stated: " Boko Haram aggregate assaulted Malari town in Guzamala nearby government territory at around 2000hrs three days prior, fortunately enough our men drew in them yet they let go RPG into the town and around 40 houses was burnt.

"We have recorded a few setbacks however the subtle elements are not accessible at this point. I am certain notwithstanding brief activities by our men, they have wrecked down the entire network," he said.

A nearby seeker said the aggressors raged the town on utility vehicles and opened fire sporadically on non military personnel.
