Armed Robbers Kill Four Policemen in Kanuda


Armed robbers attacked policemen who were en route for a task at Jankaska town in Igabji Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed four of them.

He said the occurrence happened around 6:30pm on Saturday when the Inspection General of Police Intelligence Rapid Response Team was in the territory for a task.

He stated: "At around 0630hrs of Saturday, a group of analysts connected to IGP IRT while on activity along Jankasa town of Rigasa Kaduna, were trapped by equipped criminals.

"After a wild weapon fight, four of our policemen paid the preeminent forfeit".

He said fortification had been sent to the zone to capture the assailants.

He said the police was doing everything conceivable to angle out the gangsters and convey them to equity.

Police sources in Abuja said that the agents were murdered in a weapon battle amid a trap by ruffians endeavoring to protect two captured pack individuals.

A source stated: "As the group were leaving the shrub with the captured hijackers, other posse individuals covering up inside the hedge trapped the IRT group and started shooting which came about to the passing of four agents.
