Abductors of Murdered Pastor's Wife Demand #5m for Her Release

About 24 hours after shooters assaulted the Nasara Baptist Church, Guguwa, Igabi neighborhood government zone of Kaduna State where the Church's Pastor, Reverend Hosea M. Akuchi was killed, abductors of his wife have put N5 million ransom for her release.

A source in the zone uncovered that the aggressors came calling at around 1 a.m. on Monday and constrained their way into the flat of the paster, shot him and took his better half, Mrs Talatu Hosea Akuchi away.

The source said that he abductors said that they required N5 million as payoff before they could discharge her.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kaduna Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo had before affirmed that the priest was shot while battling with the assailants whose aim may have been to kidnap him.
