IG of Police Summons Saraki Over Alleged Involvement in Offa Robbery

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, has asked Senate President Bukola Saraki, to show up at the questioning room of Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Abuja, over the burglary episode that occurred in Offa, Kwara state, in April this year.

In a letter dated July 23 and routed to Saraki, the police IG requested that the Senate President be at IRT's office at 8am on Tuesday "for assist examination".

The police had said a portion of the theft suspects admitted that they were Saraki's hooligans, an affirmation he has since denied.

The administrator was approached to show up at compel home office for addressing, yet the police in the end said Saraki ought not show up face to face but rather react to the charges of the suspects in composing.
