Buhari To Honour Imam Who Saved 300 Christians During Plateau Killings

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State to bring the 83-year-old Imam of Nghar town, Gashish District in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar, to Abuja for "a handshake and national award."
Lalong said the President took the choice after reports that the Imam spared around 300 people on June 24 when speculated Fulani herders attacked around 15 networks in the Barkin Ladi LGA, murdering more than 200 people.
The general population, mostly Christians, were said to escape from a neighboring town in the Barkin Ladi LGA when the Imam concealed them in his home and mosque.
"I concealed the ladies in my own home and from that point forward, I brought the men into the mosque and shrouded them there," Imam Abubakar had expressed.
In any case, the attackers made up for lost time with the Imam, powerfully requesting that he discharge the individuals who were Christians in the mosque.
Be that as it may, the minister said misdirected the criminals that each one of those in the mosque were Muslims and after hearing this, the aggressors left him and proceeded with their executing somewhere else.
