19-Year-Old Tailor Kills His 35-Year-Old Pregnant Sister

The police in Borno have captured a 19-year-old tailor, Abba Umaru, over the murder of his 35-year-old pregnant sister, Ya'Amsa Umaru.

The state's Commissioner of Police, Mr Damian Chukwu, in an announcement on Friday said the suspect on May 25, hit his sister with a pestle at Magumeri town in Magumeri Local Government Area of the state.

He said Abba was bothered with the request by his sister asking for him to sew a dress for their dad. He stated, "Subsequently, he killed his sister, who was at the time, eight months pregnant, and covered her in a shallow grave in a room."

Chukwu expressed that the suspect would be charged when examinations were finished.

The police supervisor likewise expressed that the police had captured a 20-year old man, Hassan Garba, over the murder of two people in Biu Local Government Area of the state.

He uncovered that the suspect on May 18, cut Hussaini Alhassan, 20 and Naziru Haruna, 19, to death, both of whom he blamed for infidelity.
