Troops Kill 10 Herdsmen After Attack on Adamawa Village

Soldiers of 101 special Forces Battalion on Excercise Ayem Akpatuma (Cat Race) sent at Numan LGA of Adamawa State on Tuesday reacted to trouble call by Gwamba villagers who were under assault by herders. 

Brig.- Gen. Texas Chukwu, the Director, Army Public Relations, in an announcement issued Tuesday night, said the infamous herders set the town on fire before troops' entry. 

He included that the decided troops trailed the herders and captured 6 of them at Garigiji town while attempting to get away. 

"Be that as it may, amid the procedure of the capture, the herders indicated protection, which made the alarmed troops to connect with them and slaughtered 10 of them. 

"Things recouped from the herders are: one AK 47 rifle, 41 rounds of 7.62mm extraordinary, one privately made rifle with 25 cartridges, one cutlass, plundered garments and one bike", the announcement included.
