Court Remands Pastor in Prison for Murder

An Ado Ekiti Chief Magistrates' Court on Tuesday requested that a 40-year-old minister, Olakanye Oni, blamed for killing a 39-year-old lady, be remanded in jail. 

Oni argued not guilty to a charge of murder. 

The prosecutor, Insp. Johnson Okunade, told the court that the murder suspect conferred the offense ‎on or about December 13, 2017 at Ado Ekiti. 

He asserted that Oni conferred the offense through fiendish means since something abnormal was found in the private piece of the killed lady. 

As per the prosecutor, the offense contradicts Sections ‎325 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Law of Ekiti,2012. 

The main judge, Mr Aderopo Adegboye, from there on requested that Oni be remanded in jail until the point that the following dismissed date of January 15 for say.
