Woman Apprehended for Alleged Stealing of Child From Mosque

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court in Lagos on Monday arraigned a 38-year-old trader, Juliet Ajagun over endeavor to steal a child from a Mosque. 

The dfendant, an inhabitant at No. 20, Abuke St., Ijegun, suburb of Lagos, is confronting two-check charge of stealing and causing rupture of peace. 

As indicated by the prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, the offenses were submitted at Muyi Opaleye St., Ijegun, on Dec. 12. 

Ogu said that the litigant went to a Mosque and took away a kid while the mother was supplicating. 

He included that the litigant was captured after one of the ladies located her and raised the caution. 

Ogu additionally said the offenses negated areas 168 (d) and 277 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. 

The litigant, in any case, argued not blameworthy to the offense. 

The managing Magistrate, Mrs Taiwo Akanni, allowed her safeguard in the aggregate of N100,000 with two sureties in like total.

She deferred the case until Jan. 31, 2018 for specify.
