DPR Threatens to Shut down Filling Stations Selling Above Pump Price

Executive Secretary of Department of Petroleum Resources, Mr. Modecai Ladan, has cautioned that filling stations that store fuel or sell above pump cost will be shut down or heavily charged.

"Assents anticipate filling stations discovered trading off the apportioning procedure, in that capacity filling stations might be closed down or charged N275 per liter," Ladan cautioned.

Ladan, included that any filling station discovered accumulating products would either be fixed or its item unloaded or administered for nothing out of pocket to purchasers.

Talking in Abuja on Thursday, Ladan said that, contingent upon the offense, defaulters may have their filling stations close down for a half year or be blacklisted.
