Gunmen Invade Commissioner’s House, Murder 3 In Akwa Ibom


Three people have been apparently killed in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Sunday after shooters attacked the home of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, Udo Ekpenyong. 

The police representative in the state, Bala Elkana, who affirmed the episode, said the magistrate's more youthful sister was among those murdered by the shooters. 

Elkana said the shooters, who rode on a bike shot and executed the lady inside the official's nation home at Ikot Oku Usung town. 

"The commissioner is protected. I don't know he was in the house when the occurrence happened," he said. 

Then, the police had restricted the utilization of cruisers in Ukanafun and in the neighboring nearby government territory of Etim Ekpo from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

The police representative in the state, Mr. Elkana, said in an announcement that the restriction produced results from Sunday.
