Governor Rochas Okorocha Again, Unveils Liberian President’s Statue, Explains why He Erects Statues

Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has revealed the statue built to honor Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

In spite of the fact that, while valuing the motion of the state Governor, the Liberian president said she has never gotten such a respect.

As indicated by her, she has a statue in her institute of matriculation, Harvard University, however the extent of the statue can't be contrasted with the one built by the Rochas Okorocha administration.

Soon after uncovering the statue of the Liberian President, Rochas Okorocha was asked by a jornalist for what valid reason he is building statues and he answered:

“To immortalize people so our children yet unborn can read a piece of them. History is dying in Africa. We must keep history alive. In the next 100 years to come, most of us will not be here but this will stand for children to read stories and mold their character. If leaders are not mortalized, there will not be history for children yet unborn’.
