56-Year-Old Woman Bags 10 Years Imprisonment For Cocaine Trafficking

Oluwayemisi Owolabi was condemned to 10 years in prison yesterday by a Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, for trafficking 330 grams of cocaine.

Equity Rilwan Aikawa indicted and condemned Owolabi after she confessed to one-tally charge of drug trafficking favored against her by NDLEA.

The convict's attorney, Morenike Ogunleye, argued: "The convict is a first time guilty party, and she is calm. She is a mother of four youngsters, who is without any assistance dealing with them, as she has isolated from her husband."

The judge asked the prosecutor, Ibrahim, for the discipline for the wrongdoing submitted as stipulated by the NDLEA Act, and the prosecutor said it is life imprisonment.
