Three Soldiers, One Airforce Officer Caught After Stealing Solar Panels Worth N100m Belonging to Lagos State Govt

Three officers and one expelled Airforce man, have been captured by agents of the Lagos State Police Command for supposedly taking solar panels worth N100m belonging to the state government. 

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Imohimi Edgal, told newsmen on Wednesday that the suspects had been on the wanted list before they were at long last captured in Epe zone. 

Imohimi said that the three fighters had been given over to 9 Brigade of the Nigerian Army for more investigation. 

The CP said that the gathering had sold stolen sun based boards from Epe, Sangotedo, Elerngbe and Badagry ranges to purchasers in many parts of the nation. 

"On Sept. 5, at around 2 a.m, the seven suspects arrived in a truck with enrollment number LND 61 XQ, attacked Okemagba Senior Secondary School, Epe with three warriors and stole 71 sun powered boards. 

"They additionally constrained the entryway of the compartment where the inverter batteries and embellishments were kept and left with it. 

"A portion of the purchasers were followed to Delta, Anambra and Imo where one purchaser was later grabbed in a lodging and admitted to have gotten sunlight based boards and inverters batteries from the suspects," he said. 

The Police Commissioner said the suspects would be charged to court after fruition of investigation on the issue.
