Niger Police Rescues Kidnapped DPO, 5 Others


The police in Niger on Thursday said they have rescued a Division Police Officer who was kidnapped on Sunday alongside 5 others. 

Mr Austine Agbonlahor, Commissioner of police in Minna, said the officer, SP Amos Aliyu, was safeguarded alongside five different casualties in an operation. 

Aliyu is the DPO accountable for Sarkin Pawa Police Division in Munya Local Government Area, Niger. 

"Indeed the senior cop, alongside five others, were protected and have since been brought together with there friends and family". 

He said that the casualties were saved with the guide of valuable data from a few individuals from people in general. 

He clarified the order was taking proactive safety efforts to manage any type of security risk.

"We have just conveyed adequate security faculty in distinguished zones inclined to criminal exercises. 

"We are fight prepared to face any type of security risk to empower occupants proceed onward with there authentic business. 

He called for more participation from people in general to empower the police free the state of lawbreakers.
