NDLEA Nabs 25 Women Dealing in Hard Drugs

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Edo State have captured around 25 women suspected to be involved in drug dealings. The captured ladies were among 86 individuals arrested for the offense, including a Malian national. 

The Edo State leader of NDLEA, Buba Wakawa said the captures occurred amongst July and September this year. The organization said 2,930 kg of hard medications were seized and 46.8 hectares of marijuana farms obliterated. 

The farms were evaluated to create 217,414 kg of cannabis. As indicated by him, a breakdown of the seized drugs are: cannabis (2,929.6 kg), Tramadol (159 grams), Swino (4 grams), Vegha (26 grams), Codeine (29 grams) and Heroin (20 grams). 

Two vehicles and motorcycles were things retrieved from the suspects. 

Wakawa said the NDLEA recorded a leap forward with the indictment of one Obiora Nkemokonam. He was supposedly condemned to 10 months detainment for having 20 kg of cannabis.
