220 Suspected Criminals Arrested On Lagos Island


The Lagos Police Command with the agents of the Lagos State Task Force and other security outfits have captured 220 presumed hoodlums on Lagos Island, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria. 

The joint mid-night operations did on Saturday on Lagos Island was completed on the request of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal. 

The joint force operations labeled 'Mother of every one of Raids' was driven by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Area 'A' Command (Lion Building), ACP Olushola Akinyede with the agents of the Lagos State Task Force, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and all Divisional Police Officers under Area 'A' Command, Lagos Island. 

SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, administrator of the Lagos State Task Force revealed that 214 male and 6 female presumed culprits were captured amid the joint mid-night operations did around Obalende, Sura, Adeniji-Adele, Oke-suna, Sangros, Falomo, Agarawu, Bishop-Oluwole, Tokunbo, Idumota and Apogbon zone of Lagos Island. 

He said Edgal has coordinated that all captured 220 speculated famous offenders be altogether screened under the steady gaze of being charge to court for indictments. 

Ibrahim Oluwole one of the speculated criminal said he was captured under the Obalende fly-over at mid-night. 

He admitted to have had a place with a criminal posse that confiscate honest individuals from the general population of their resources, for example, telephones, wallets and jewelleries during the evening around Obalende.
