Independence Day: FG Declares October 2 as Public Holiday


The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced Monday, 2nd October, 2017 Public Holiday, the day is put aside to celebrate the nation's 57th Independence Anniversary. 

The data was passed by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau who made the announcement for the benefit of the Federal Government in an announcement marked by the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji on Wednesday. 

He complimented Nigerians on the commemoration and asked them to support the aggregate endeavors towards keeping up and reinforcing the solidarity of Nigeria. 

Dambazau stressed Government's sense of duty regarding advancing national solidarity, monetary development and political advancement on fair standards. 

He noticed that in the previous 57 years, Nigeria has gained a ton of ground and positive effect on its natives as well as on human advancement all inclusive. 

The Minister charged all Nigerians to stay ardent in the affection and care of the nation, noticing that solid feeling of responsibility for nation is crucial for feasible advancement of the country.
