Five Kwara Officials Arraigned for Alleged Forgery of Tax Receipts


Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, KWIRS, has arraigned five government officials for claimed criminal connivance and forgery of tax receipts. 

This was uncovered in an announcement on Friday by Lateef Okandeji, the Director of Legal and Enforcement at the office. 

Mr. Okandeji said that one of the authorities works with KWIRS while the four others are with the state Bureau of Lands. 

As per the announcement, the office in August found that some imminent citizens inside Ilorin and its environs were being issued with counterfeit receipts of the organization showing tremendous installments by the citizens. 

Mr. Okandeji said the organization from that point appealed to the police who captured the blamed people in the course for examination. 

He recorded the names of the charged as Adebola Ajibare, 37, (KWIRS), Adeleke Hakeem, 34, Moshood Isiaka, 33, Adisa Abdullahi, 32 and Ayilara Adenike, 42. 

He said the denounced people have admitted to the wrongdoing. 

As indicated by the director, they had schemed and produced the records of the income organization to swindle pure citizens.
