Young Man Arraigned For the Unlawful Possession Of 22 Goats In Osun



A 28-year-old man, distinguished as Musibau Okunola, was charged before an Osogbo Chief Magistrate's Court on Friday for claimed unlawful ownership of 22 goats. 

The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mireti Wilson, told the court that the accused commited the offense on Nov. 28, 2016 at around 3:50am inside Osogbo city in Osun State. 

Wilson said the charged was captured while passing on the 22 goats in a transport with enlistment number KJA 178 XE, and was not able give acceptable clarification of the responsibility for creatures. 

As per the News Agency of Nigeria, the prosecutor said the offense contradicted segments 517 and 430(1) of the criminal code top 34 Vol.11 laws of Osun, 2003. 

The blamed argued not blameworthy to the charge and his advice, Mr Ato Atobatele, asked the court to allow him safeguard in liberal terms. 

The Magistrate, Mrs. Olubukola Awodele allowed the blamed safeguard in the whole for N50,000 with two sureties in like total. 

Awodele said the sureties must dwell inside the court ward, indicate confirmation of duty installment, join sworn statement of means and give two identification photos. The case was suspended to November 13 for hearing. 

In the mean time, the Police in Kano on Friday additionally charged a 25-year-old man, Ibrahim Musa, under the watchful eye of a Kano Magistrate's Court for purportedly polluting a nine-year-old rice-cake (Masa) merchant. 

Musa, who lives at Saje Village in Bichi nearby government range of the state is being attempted on a one-tally charge of r*pe. 

The Chief Magistrate, Muhammad Jibril, requested the remand of the litigant in jail authority and suspended the case to August 10 for specify. 

Prior, the prosecutor, Inspector Pogu Lale, had told the court that one Bashir Ado of a similar address detailed the case at Bichi police Division on July 27, 2017. 

"The litigant tricked and baited her into his shop arranged at Saje Village and strongly had unlawful s*xual intercourse with her," he said.
